A Brief History

The Premier Rugby Sevens debuted in 2021. The first two seasons featured four teams that played in a touring format across the United States. The Rocky Mountain Experts won the first two PRS championships. Beginning with the 2023 season, teams were assigned specific cities/areas to represent, and the Rocky Mountain Experts will be based out of Denver.

The pro league is on hiatus and will not play a 2024 season.

The pro league remains on hiatus and will not play a 2025 season.

In March 2026, the league announces their pro league will remain on hiatus until various organizational and structural considerations can be figured out.
